I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do this, but the constant reminders of how stupid people are nowadays has gotten me depressed. So, for a nice example that there are still SOME smart people left, visit Wikipedia. And I know for a fact that not everyone there is an adult. http://wikipedia.org/

The following excerpts are actual answers given on history tests and school
quizzes by children between 5th and 6th grade in Ohio. They were collected
over a period of three years by two teachers. Read carefully for grammar,
misplaced modifiers, and of course, spelling!

I have *no* idea if these are true - probably not ^_^' But they amuse meCollapse )

I feel the D.A.R.E. program is a good program for kids or any other people that don’t know how to handle drugs, or alcohol. We have learned to say no to drugs or any other things that could get you into trouble not only with your parents or principal but with the police too. Some examples of things that could hurt you or get you into trouble are guns, knives or any other weapons or drugs such as tobacco, which can make you have tongue surgery pot or Marijuana or crack which can make you have all kinds of cancer and the most important lung cancer or alcohol or medicine pills or needles which can make you crazy or maybe even make you commit suicide. I think it’s important to stay drug free so you can stay healthy and stay alive or not get into trouble. Also because if you’re not, your friends won’t like you.

Jason’s essay taught me a lot.
Tongue surgery pot, or marijuana, or crack can make me have all kinds of cancer and the most important cancer is obviously lung cancer, or alcohol, or medicine pills or needles (which can make you crazy or even commit suicide!) Plus, my friends won't like me. This entry is dedicated to ozar_midrashim because he likes to play with knives and he probably didn’t go to D.A.R.E like Jason and me.

*Translation: "Our classroom has got lots of toys in it and it is good at school. We have a home corner to play in and it is in the lobby and I like the sand and I like the water. Big sand castle me and Holly made them and then Henry came and play with us. But then Henry and Holly went to play with the water and I was on my own but no one wanted to play with me. And I like Mrs. Carter eats too much ice cream she was happy eating ice cream."

Amazon.com is a wonderful source of child stupidity. Here's a review of the movie Balto that makes me wanna vomit.

Source: http://www.amazon.com

"This is one of the best movies around!, February 5, 2003

Stephen Verhaeren (Palos Park, IL USA) - See all my reviews

Balto is one of the best movies. Plus it is hard to believe that this is a rare live action and animated movie. Jim Cummings should gets a lot of parts in animated movies. He was the voice of Steele (who hates Balto). This movie is based on a true story. Balto is half dog and half wolf. But even though I'm confused on how is is half dog and half wolf. Plus how do you know what happened since mosty of the time we see animals. And how do the trail the dogs races are raced that is the same trail Balto and the sled dogs took to bring medince to thier town in Alaska. As the movie opens, a grandmother (Miram Margolyes) and her granddaughter (Lola Bates-Campbell) are looking for a memorial of the sled dogs that took a trail to bring medince to thier town in the winter of 1925. The Granddaughter (at first) doesn't know what she and her grandmother are looking for. So they take a rest and the grandmother tells her the story of Balto (Kevin Bacon) and the snow dog team. Which this part of the movie is animated. Blato is not the favorite dog in town and is hated by Steele (voiced by Jim Cummings). But when a little girl gets sick and is in the hospital, Steele and other dogs (expect Balto) are sent to get the medince. But when the dogs get lost, Balto heads out to find them.

My thoughts on Balto are: First this movie is based on a true story. I am not sure about the girl and her grandmother also realed happened in this movie. But here is one thing I don't belive that really happened the animals talked (and the stuff that happened that there wasn't any humans present). But if you love animated or live action movies, I reccomend this one. But I don't know why the memorial is in New York City when Balto and everybody else in the story lived in Normal, Alaska."

Harry Potter
By Miles

This movie is about a boy who's parents died. He went to live with his relatives, that are muggles, that means they are none magical people. I did not have a favorite character.  This movie is fantasy because there is magic in it.  This movie was boring because I knew what was going to happen. I would not recommend this movie because it was a waste of time. I would give this movie a 1 star rating.

I get the first post, because Zeki told me to post this. XD Two pictures of Emma Watson, for some reason. ... and I would like to say that Harry Potter was NOT a waste of time. XP
